Today, Thursday, November 24, 2022, U.S. Congressman Josh Gottheimer (NJ-5), as he does every year, joined nearly 2,000 North Jersey residents to take part in the 23rd Annual Upper Saddle River 5k Run. The race benefits the Upper Saddle River Ambulance Corps and the Upper Saddle River Fire Department, as well as local charities like the Center for Food Action in Mahwah, West Bergen Mental Health Program, Social Discovery Autism, Upper Saddle River Education Foundation, Upper Saddle River Boys & Girl Scouts, D.A.R.E, and many more.
“On Thanksgiving, there is nothing more powerful than coming together with your community, family, and friends in an effort to support others, and this race offers a great way to do just that,” said Congressman Josh Gottheimer (NJ-5) “Representing such a generous community like Upper Saddle River, that dedicates so much to these wonderful causes, is truly an honor. A special thank you to all of the organizers of the event and the Upper Saddle River Police, Fire, and EMS for taking the time this Thanksgiving morning to make sure everyone is safe.”
Gottheimer was joined by Upper Saddle River Acting Mayor and Council President Jonathan Ditkoff, Upper Saddle River Recreation Director Ed Gartner, first responders, and nearly 2,000 North Jersey residents.
