NORTH JERSEY — Today, April 3, 2024, U.S. Congressman Josh Gottheimer released the following statement after the death of seven World Central Kitchen aid workers in Gaza:

“The loss of the seven World Central Kitchen workers, including an American citizen, was deeply tragic, and my heartfelt prayers are with their families and loved ones. These workers operated bravely on the frontlines of an active war zone with the selfless goal of delivering humanitarian aid to innocent civilians being used as human shields by Hamas. Israel must investigate the IDF airstrike that took their lives.

The work of non-profit organizations, such as World Central Kitchen, is vital to supporting innocent civilians in need across the world, including in Ukraine.

This tragic incident further necessitates the urgency to bring the hostages homes, including Americans, defeat the Hamas terrorists, and continue work to bring crucial humanitarian aid to innocent civilians.”
