RELEASE: Gottheimer Swears in Oradell Councilmembers
ORADELL, NJ — On Tuesday, January 4, 2022, U.S. Congressman Josh Gottheimer (NJ-5) administered the oath of office virtually for Oradell Council President Tracy Schoenberg and Oradell Councilman Roger Tashjian.
Gottheimer was also joined by Oradell Mayor Dianne Didio, Councilwoman Miriam Yu, Councilman Rob Jannicelli, Councilman Steve Carnevale, Councilman Jonathan Kern, families and friends, and community members in Oradell.
Congressman Josh Gottheimer (NJ-5) said, “Council President Schoenberg is a truly remarkable leader and I know that she will continue making Oradell a more safe, beautiful, and welcoming community in her third term. I can’t wait to see all that she tackles in 2022, as she aims to further help first responders, guide the Borough as we recover from the pandemic, ensure the Oradell for All inclusion campaign expands, work to make sidewalks and buses more accessible to people with disabilities, and more.”
Gottheimer also highlighted, “Councilman Tashjian has served his first two terms in office with limitless spirit and a desire to continue making Oradell a wonderful place to live, helping bring major investment back to Oradell to support our first responders and the whole community. I know he will bring that exact same energy to his third term.”
“Those taking this oath today have been entrusted with the most fundamental duties of government: making sure our roads are paved, ensuring there is clean water, and keeping our families safe. Leadership means bringing our community together across party, backgrounds, and any lines that divide us. It means ensuring we have the best law enforcement, fire, and emergency medical services; and working together with those you might not always agree with — all with the goal of finding common ground,” continued Gottheimer.
