RIDGEWOOD, NJ —U.S. Congressman Josh Gottheimer (NJ-5) visited Bagelicious in Ridgewood, met with the owner and staff, welcomed customers, and helped make some Jersey bagels — as part of his “Josh on the Job” series promoting local businesses in North Jersey. After a devastating fire burnt down the small business in the spring of 2020, Bagelicious was acquired by Gustavo Rosales — a decade-long employee — and reopened late last year.

“I want to thank Gustavo for having me at Bagelicious and teaching me everything about what makes Jersey bagels the best. Small business owners like Gustavo, who overcome every obstacle in their way, are what make North Jersey such an incredible place to live, work, and do business,” said Congressman Josh Gottheimer (NJ-5). “It’s so great to see our small businesses supporting the local economy and creating jobs. In Congress and here at home in North Jersey, I’ll continue working hard to support small businesses by cutting unnecessary and burdensome red tape restricting their full potential.”

Gottheimer was joined at Bagelicious by Bergen County Commissioner Ramon Hache.
