LEONIA, NJ —U.S. Congressman Josh Gottheimer (NJ-5) visited a newly-opened small business, Shumi Japanese Cuisine, in Leonia. He met with the owner, David Seo,  and restaurant staff, and helped make sushi as part of his “Josh on the Job” tour promoting local businesses in North Jersey.

“I want to thank David for teaching me about how to make some of Jersey’s best sushi. Small business owners like David are what make North Jersey such an incredible place to live, work, eat, and do business,” said Congressman Josh Gottheimer (NJ-5). “It’s so great to see our small businesses supporting the local economy and creating jobs. In Congress and here at home in North Jersey, I’ll continue working hard to support small businesses by cutting unnecessary and burdensome red tape restricting their full potential.”

Gottheimer was joined at Shumi Japanese Cuisine by Leonia Council President Louis Grandelis and Borough Administrator Andrea Wardrop.

Video of Gottheimer’s visit to Shumi Japanese Cuisine can be found here.
