TEANECK, NJ — U.S. Congressman Josh Gottheimer (NJ-5) worked the register, visited with employees, and scooped ice cream for local customers at Bischoff’s Handmade Ice Cream in Teaneck, which has been owned and operated by the same family since 1934. This visit was a part of his “Josh on the Job” tour across the Fifth District to promote local businesses.
Gottheimer was joined by Steven Bischoff, owner of the Teaneck eatery, to discuss how New Jersey businesses are getting back on their feet and continuing to serve the community.
“Bischoff’s has been a staple here in Northern New Jersey for more than 85 years,” said Congressman Josh Gottheimer (NJ-5). “I was thrilled to connect with their team, perfect my ice cream scooping skills, and discuss how small business relief has helped Bischoff’s and their employees come out on the other side of this pandemic stronger than ever. In Congress, I will continue working to support small businesses and cut red tape so that local businesses like Bischoff’s can continue to survive and thrive.”
