ENGLEWOOD, NJ — In recognition of Small Business Saturday, U.S. Congressman Josh Gottheimer (NJ-5) spotlighted locally-owned small business, Hot Jewelry Box, in Englewood. Gottheimer met with owner Gina Jeon and store staff and helped prepare the store for the holidays. Gina also provides job training to survivors of domestic abuse and single mothers.
Every product at Hot Jewelry Box is locally-made and designed by Gina.
The Englewood store opened earlier this month, and is the second location. The first location is in Ridgewood.
“I want to thank Gina for having me at her small business, Hot Jewelry Box, and teaching me how her businesses and job-training program for survivors of domestic abuse and single mothers operate. Small business owners like Gina, who constantly give back to their community and help neighbors in need, are what make North Jersey such an incredible place to live, work, and do business,” said Congressman Josh Gottheimer (NJ-5). “It’s so great to see our small businesses supporting the local economy and creating jobs. This Saturday, and every day, I urge everyone to support our small businesses by shopping local.”
New Jersey has more than 952,000 small businesses, which makes up 99.6% of all businesses in the Garden State. 1.9 million people in New Jersey are small business employees, making up 48.8% of all employees in the state.
