“I strongly support our ally Israel and its non-negotiable right to defend itself.

I believe it is in America’s national interest to maintain our ironclad commitment to Israel’s security by providing American security assistance under the 2016 U.S.-Israel Memorandum of Understanding negotiated during the Obama Administration.

I remain committed to a viable two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, and I urge Israel to refrain from the proposed unilateral annexation of territory in the West Bank, outside of the context of negotiations. I also hope the Palestinians will change course and agree to enter into direct negotiations with Israel leading to a lasting agreement with two states for two peoples, living side by side in peace and security.”
