Today, Saturday, September 21, 2019, U.S. Congressman Josh Gottheimer (NJ-5) hosted a Family Friendly “Cup of Joe with Josh” Town Hall at Lakeside Diner in Ringwood. This was Gottheimer’s 42nd “Cup of Joe with Josh” Town Hall since taking office. Local North Jersey families joined the discussion with Gottheimer about everything from reinstating the State and Local Tax Deduction (SALT) to provide actual tax relief for our families, to lowering out-of-pocket costs for prescription drugs, to keeping our air and water clean, to his work for veterans and law enforcement.

“I really appreciate the great folks at Lakeside Diner in Ringwood for welcoming us. I’m grateful to all of the families for joining me today to share their thoughts and ask questions about issues facing our community and country,” said Congressman Josh Gottheimer (NJ-5). “Hearing from everyone I represent is an essential part of my job and it truly helps me better represent their interests in Congress. I’m always thankful for the opportunity to answer questions and engage with the community.”

Gottheimer continued, “I will continue to fight for common sense solutions on the issues we discussed today, including keeping our air and water clean for future generations, cutting taxes, investing in our crumbling infrastructure, lowering our health care costs, and standing up for our first responders and our veterans. I’m definitely going to take the concerns I heard today to inform my work in Washington fighting for the Fifth District.”
