Gottheimer Hosts Seventh Coronavirus Conference Call with Fifth District Mayors
Provides Updates on COVID-19 Impact on North Jersey
GLEN ROCK, NJ – This week, U.S. Congressman Josh Gottheimer (NJ-5) held his seventh conference call with Fifth District Mayors from Warren and Sussex County to update them on efforts to help the Fifth District community combat the coronavirus and its impact on the region. He also asked for their feedback on upcoming federal legislation and issues in their respective communities.
“Everyone across the Fifth District and our nation is being impacted by this outbreak and it is imperative that we continue to provide updated information on the federal and state resources available to help all our different populations, so that all get through this together,” said Congressman Josh Gottheimer (NJ-5). “We must continue coming together as a community to fight his virus together. I want to thank all of our mayors for their leadership and willingness to communicate with me, so I can get the the resources we need to towns, frontline health care works, first responders, and businesses.”
To address concerns in North Jersey, Gottheimer this week discussed federal legislation to protect long term care facilities, information on the Assistance to Firefighters Grants Program, and the Paycheck Protection Program.
